Polk County Conservation Fishing Basics Course
Polk County Conservation will be hosting a fishing basics course on February 25 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The course is designed for beginners and will educate participants about the different kinds of fish in Iowa, fishing safety, casting and knot tying.
Ages 8 years old and above are welcomed to join; ages 16 and older are required to have a 2012 Iowa Fishing License to attend.
Participants will go fishing if safe ice conditions apply; bait and poles will be provided.
Course will take place at the Des Moines Izaak Walton League.
