BOY SHOT: Police Investigate Cause | News

Ankeny Police are trying to figure out how a 13-year-old boy ended up in the hospital with a gunshot wound to the head.

Around 3 p.m.  Saturday afternoon, police were called to a home on Northeast 22nd. When they arrived they found the boy shot in the head.

He was taken to Mercy Medical Center.

Two teens were at the home at the time, but their parents were not. Police are interviewing the teens to figure out what happened. There are no charges at this time.
